This course is to convert a candidate with the current COSS competence to SWL1. The Safe Work Leader competence is required to be held by anyone who is required to plan and set up a safe system of work on or near the line for a group of persons.
The course includes the importance of using the correct planning protocols, applying the SSOW and adopting the appropriate behaviours to be able to carry out this safety and effectively.

- Pre- Qualifier on-line Assessment must be completed prior to the course. E-Learning assessment can be accessed on the Network Rail E-Learning system https://elearning.networkrail.co.uk/login/index.php On successful completion of the E-Learning, the certificate should be printed out and brought with the delegate on the day of the training course.
